Everything a Parent Needs

As a parent, how do I get through each day, week and term at Auriol?

On this page, we've created a quick summary of everything practical you will need to support your child through their time at Auriol.

General Communication With Your Class Teacher

If you have questions specifically about your child, please speak to your child’s class teacher at the classroom door if in Year 3, via the home-school diary or during collection at the end of the day.

You can also email the class teacher but please limit this as much as possible, so teachers are spending most of their time thinking about your child’s learning and preparing for the next day.

Please contact the office with any information about appointments/ changes to pick up and general enquiries.

Whole School Newsletter

A weekly newsletter is sent out on a Friday with general information as well as dates coming up in the school calendar. You will find all the newsletters here

At the beginning of each half term, there is a year group newsletter attached to this with expectations and any information coming up that half term for each year group.

At the end of each half term, there is a year group newsletter (attached to the whole school newsletter) that reviews the half term.

You will be emailed a link to this and it will open in a Microsoft application called Sway.

Homework

Homework expectations are shared with each year group via the year group newsletters (shared as a link on the main newsletter at the start and end of each term). Weekly homework is also shared via your child's Microsoft Teams account. Microsoft Teams You will find links to our main homework websites within the homework page - click here!

Payments and Communication

We use Arbor for all communication, included letters, information about clubs, additional notices and payments. You will need to be signed up to this to receive all communication from us! Please speak with the school office if you are not able to access this platform.
