Auriol Junior School and The Mead Infant and Nursery School Local Governing Committee 

In September 2024, Local Governing Committees (LGCs) at both Auriol Junior School and The Mead Infant and Nursery School began working under an alternative structure for governance.  It was agreed at trust level and by both LGCs that both schools will be adopting this approach to governance.

Therefore, Auriol Junior School and The Mead Infant and Nursery School operated with a single LGC from September 2024.

As the schools move forward, this LGC structure will support Governor succession planning and will aid in the recruitment of high calibre governors who can offer between them the range of skills and competences required to ensure that combined LGC is strategic and highly effective.   

Both schools are very excited to work collaboratively and the opportunities this may bring.
