As we approach the end of the year, one of our end of year celebrations is our governors assembly. It takes place this afternoon with the whole school and celebrates all the achievements of the year, word millionaires, rock heroes, pride in presentation, sports, performing arts, academic achievement and many others.
We award an extra special “end of year governors award” to one boy and girl in each class. This is awarded to people who have maybe shown real progress in their attitude and focus or gone above and beyond every single day of the last year, not just a week or term. Our teachers have a real challenge to only choose 2 people from each class, so if your child comes home today having won a governors award, please know how truly special and well deserved this is and shower them with congratulations!
All children will be coming home with their end of year report and NFER papers this afternoon (Y6 will also have their SATs results and Y4 MTC results). Again, please congratulate and praise all of your children for the amazing things they’ve achieved this year and the progress they’ve made.
We are always grateful to receive the enclosed report slips back with any comments, so please do consider filling this in and returning it next week for your teachers to read 😀

District Sports 2024
Today was the track events at District Sports (unfortunately we don’t have any images of the field events from last week. Thank you to one of the parents for sending these through from today). The children did us so proud and represented Auriol beautifully. We were particularly proud of their resilience on the long distance race. Mr Ransom will release the scores in tomorrow’s newsletter.
Excuse our dodgy smiley face editing - if you don’t see your child it’s because we don’t have GDPR permission for their face to be on social media. If you think this is a mistake, please update the office and we can ensure we have the right GDPR information for future posts.
