Lunches/Special Dietary Requirements

School Lunches

Warning – We are a nut-free zone!

Some teachers and children suffer from severe nut allergies, so no products containing nuts should be brought to school.

At Auriol we believe that a healthy balanced diet plays a huge part in our children's ability to arrive in the classroom ready to learn.  Our new caterers, PS Catering will be providing a varied menu each week,  the current menu is available to download at the bottom of this page.  Please note that we do not offer Halal - your child would need to be registered as vegetarian.  You will also see menu's for other special dietary requirements here on this page.  Further information is provided on PS Catering website Paula Scott Catering Management (pscateringmanagement.co.uk).

School Lunch Changes

If you wish your child to switch to school dinners and your child has no special dietary requirements or allergies, please email us via the Contact section on this website.   You will be notified of when your child can start school meals.

If you wish to change your child to a home provided packed lunch, please inform the office with your child's name, class and date you want to start via the Contact section on this website.  Failure to inform us may lead to charges for school meals.

The above also applies even if your child is on free school meals.

SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

In line with our Health and Safety and due diligence responsibilities and with reference to recent changes to food allergen legislation,  PS Catering will contact parents of those with allergies/intolerances to discuss your child's meal plan.

If your child requires a special diet for religious, ethical or medical reasons (even if your child is not on school lunches) you must complete and sign a Special Dietary Form and hand into the school office or email it via info@auriol.surrey.sch.uk  Form can be found at the bottom of this page.

Payment

As from 15th April the cost of a meal at Auriol is £2.80 per day. Payments are to be made via your Arbor account. Please kindly remember to keep your online dinner money account at least 1 week in credit. If payments are not consistently maintained, you will be notified by the school office and your child will be moved to packed lunches until payments are up to date.

Free School Meals

Your child may be entitled to Free School Meals. Please check with the school office if you think you may be eligible and/or if you require an application form. If you want to find out more about free school meals eligibility, please visit the Government website www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals.
