At Auriol, pupils gain a coherent and progressive knowledge & understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world, through investigating key time periods and major historical themes through a pedagogy of enquiry. The sequenced and interconnected curriculum builds new knowledge onto what has already been taught leading to a deeper understanding and a recognition that there are similarities, differences and connections between eras, ultimately inspiring pupils’ passion and curiosity to know more about the past.
