Music

At Auriol, our music curriculum aims to inspire a lifelong love and appreciation for music in our pupils. We believe that music is a powerful tool for self-expression, creativity, and emotional development. Through our music lessons, we strive to ignite a passion for music, nurture individual talents, and provide opportunities for every student to explore and enjoy various genres, instruments, and musical styles.

Our music curriculum takes a holistic approach to music, in which the individual strands of performing, listening, composing, the history of music and the inter-related dimensions of music are woven together to create engaging and enriching learning experiences.  We aim for pupils to develop their musical abilities through singing, playing instruments, and composing as well as developing their performance skills within the school and wider community. We encourage students to take risks, experiment with different musical techniques, and develop their confidence as musicians.
