Physical Education
Children will complete 2 PE lessons each week looking at fitness, healthy body and mind as well as a skills lesson. We strongly believe in promoting an active curriculum and active learning is threaded throughout our classrom practice in addition to our PE lessons. We also have standing desks in our classrooms, where children rotate between sitting and standing to keep them active and engaged in their learning.
Challenge: Through six key areas which are: adventurous activity, athletics, dance, games, gymnastics and swimming we teach skills that challenge pupils to develop their health, fitness and wellbeing and performance.
Inspire: Pupils to learn and develop a variety of physical, social and cognitive skills across a range of sports that we believe will motivate them to develop a lifelong positive attitude to health and fitness.
Prepare: We strongly believe in developing the whole child and feel that their understanding of an active and healthy lifestyle and embedded physical skills prepare our children for their next steps.
